Built by Windsong Properties, Somerset received a Livable Communities “special recognition” honor earlier this year. The award was given by the AARP and the National Association of Home Builders at the International Builders Show in January.
AARP and the NAHB created the Livable Communities awards program in 2007 for builders, remodelers, architects and developers in order to recognize forward-looking companies that have constructed creative and unique homes and communities with accessible features that improve the daily comfort, ease of use and safety for all their residents, no matter age or physical abilities. Play a Round at Riverside

The newly designed course at Riverside Country Club in Lanett, Ala. is open for play! Dedicated players and recreational duffers can now play 18 challenging but fun holes right in the Greater Valley Area. After being completely redesigned, Riverside Country Club reopened in early April and was an instant hit amongst members and guests alike.
What was done to the course?
The existing nine holes were completely renovated, redesigned and replanted while players enjoyed the new nine, which wind through the large, scenic lots of Riverside Estates, a new Greater Valley Group community featuring luxury homes starting in the high $200’s.
The new course was concepted and designed by Ken Ezell of CEC Golf Design Group (Deland, Fla.). His vision was to create an exquisite golf course community. Riverside Estates features 141 wooded lots with stunning and serene views. You’re Invited to the Soleil Spring Festival

On Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23, Soleil Laurel Canyon, a 330 acre master-planned community located in Canton, Georgia will host its first Soleil Spring Festival.
The two-day event will feature a wide range of events, activities and demonstrations including a Tour of Homes and a presentation by master gardener, Walter Reeves a featured columnist for the AJC and talk-show host at 750-WSB Radio.
Opened in 2005, this low-maintenance, 55-plus community offers 14 floorplans with seven featured plans. Homes are priced from the $200s to the high $400s and range in size from 1,518 to 2,727 square feet, making this active adult community ideal for those interested in a little more living space.

Heron Bay Hosted Community Wide Garage Sale

Twice a year residents of the Atlanta lake community, Heron Bay Golf and Country Club gather together and clean our their closets, attics, basements and garages for the community-wide garage sale. Over 50 homes participated in the April event, each helping to make it the rousing success that it was.
After the sale was over, all unsold items were donated to All About Developmental Disabilities. The AADD has been helping individuals and families with development disabilities with obtaining training for jobs, receiving education and medical care and finding places to live since 1956. All Heron Bay residents who did not participate in the garage sale were encouraged to donate to AADD. Read More→
