Award-winning Community Soleil Laurel Canyon Recognized at Atlanta Housing Awards

Resort inspired active adult community, Soleil Laurel Canyon in Canton, Ga., received four Gold OBIE awards at the 30th Annual OBIE Awards Ceremony held on Nov. 13, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead. The four awards were given to Soleil Laurel Canyon for Best Community Website, Best Marketing Campaign/Promotion, Best Advertising TV Spot, and Best Interior Merchandising for a detached model in the $450,000 to $549,000 category.

Couple Weds at Brookhaven of East Cobb Clubhouse Sunday

Marv Adams and Cindy Benzine said their “I do’s” Sunday, at the clubhouse in the community of Brookhaven of East Cobb, where the couple recently purchased a new home. The two had been neighbors in a gated Marietta community for seven years, and had began the courting process after Adams’ wife of 51 years passed in June 2009.
“I called him 911 Marv for many years,” recalled Cindy. “Whenever I needed something done I would knock on his door.”
However, a knock on her door from Marv changed it all.
“I asked her to go out to dinner…not as a date but as friends…we were just going to break bread,” said Marv.
“It quickly turned into a date,” said Cindy laughing.
Marv was glad that it did however, and after seven months of dating, Marv and Cindy decided to put both of their homes up for sale. Both knew it could take up to a year for their homes to sell, but after only four days, someone purchased Cindy’s home, and a few days later someone else purchased Marv’s. Read More→
