Knowing the Importance of a Good HOA

Posted by: Michelle | Comments (0)

Created by the developer, the Homeowner’s Association (HOA) maintains the quality of the neighborhood.  Typically, once a certain number of homes have been sold, the developer turns the HOA over to the community and it becomes the neighborhoods job to enforce the standards.

HOAs have different functions and capacities.  In Heron Bay Golf & Country Club, the Homeowner’s Association is run by the developer, Minerva Properties.  Heron Bay HOA includes Safety and Pool, Positive Standards, Social Activities and Community Liaisons.

Each consists of volunteers who are elected by the Community Association.  In this capacity, residents are able to enjoy a positive growth throughout the year without worry.  Whether creating new policies designed to keep the neighborhood safe, or planning an adult evening, the Heron Bay HOA committees play a prominent role in the community.

Questions to ask before purchasing a home include:

  • What are the HOA fees?
  • Are the fees monthly?  Annual?
  • How often do the fees change?
  • What do the fees include?

These questions can help you decide if the HOA is over-managed or under-managed.  The Heron Bay HOA is known for being a good mix with enthusiasm by all members, it is one of the reasons why so many choose retire to this Henry County master-planned community.  For more information about the Heron Bay HOA call 770.957.5633 Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. or Sundays from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Pat works as a tax appraiser and loves every moment of his job. Recently however, Pat and his wife Mable decided it was time to ease into the life of retirement. The active couple wanted a community where they would be able to participate in all of their day-to-day activities, but still offered a continuum of care.

Peachtree Hills Place was the perfect fit for the Kichlines. The couple loved the dining facilities that were done by famous chef, Paul Abrecht. In addition, the couple were drawn to the property design and medical care. Pat, who walks two miles every day, wanted a community where he would be able to Read More→
