The Managing Partner of Windsong Properties, Steve Romeyn, will be speaking at the 2012 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Orlando, Florida. He will be a guest panelist for the session entitled 50+ Builder Forum: Strategies from Successful Builders.
Steve will discuss how Windsong Properties survived through the economic downturn. Panelists will also explore topics such as product design, marketing, sources for construction financing, revamping business operations and developing strategies for continued success.

nton, Ga., was recently named the 50+ Housing Community of the Year at the 31st Annual OBIE Awards Ceremony held on Nov. 12 at the Cobb Galleria. The community was also honored with Best Amenity Package for a community with over 500 homes. The OBIE Awards, named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given, are the premier awards in of Atlanta’s residential building industry.

Windsong Properties Celebrates Eighth Anniversary By Giving Back to Community

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for family and friends and to give back to the community. That is just what Windsong Properties did during their eighth anniversary event! Held at the new clubhouse at Windsong at Seven Hills in Dallas on Friday, Nov. 18, the event brought together homeowners, staff and vendors. Plus, guests were asked to bring a donation for Shepherd’s Rest Ministries, a local family violence crisis center.
Windsong Properties was able to give the organization an array of household cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, baby care products and gift cards to Walmart. These were all needed items for the emergency shelter and transitional house of Shepherd’s Rest.
Shepherd’s Rest Ministries, located in Paulding County, was chosen because of its amazing community assistance. The organization was founded in 1997 by Dr. Kathryn Melton and was the only shelter in the area to serve victims of domestic violence. Since then, Shepherd’s Rest has housed over 2,400 women and children and has purchased facilities for an emergency shelter and a transitional house. The organization also provides a 24-hour crisis line, emergency housing, emergency transportation, legal advocacy, food, clothing, counseling, resource referrals and financial aid to the community-at-large.
Held in the new clubhouse at Windsong at Seven Hills, the event showcased Windsong’s craftsmanship and commitment to its trade partners and homeowners. The 1,800 square foot clubhouse features décor in modern earth tones with touches of grey, a gathering room, catering kitchen and state-of-the-art fitness center.
