Greater Valley Group, brought on board two award winning architects in classic southern homes, to design its new community Quail Run in Chambers County, Ala. The architects, James L. Strickland and L. Mitchell Ginn, have an excess of 50 years experience combined, in historic and traditional southern architecture, and are known for exquisite designs.
Strickland is the founder and president of Historical Concepts architectural firm in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been nationally recognized for designing southern historic homes. Soleil Laurel Canyon Captures National Mature Media Award

The marketing team at Soleil Laurel Canyon, a 330 acre, resort-inspired active adult community in Canton, Ga. captured a Silver Award from the National Mature Media for its marketing and advertising campaign. The competition is the nation’s largest awards program established to recognize excellence in magazines geared to people aged 50 and older, North America’s most rapidly growing and wealthy demographic.
The awards, organized by the National Mature Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the older adult market, recognized Soleil and Evolv, the community’s marketing/advertising arm for its outstanding campaign that re-branded the community from its former name Seasons and depicted Soleil Laurel Canyon as one of the most vibrant active adult communities in the United States.
Visuals and phrases that were used during this campaign included: “Your Parents Always Told You Act You’re Age, Don’t Follow the Crowd and It’s not Polite to Stare.” The headlines paid off with fun visuals of older adults having fun and enjoying life.
